Barbara became a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of Pueblo County’s Board of Directors in December 2012. This is her second term as serving as a member of the Club’s Board.

She is a Psychology Professor at Colorado State University – Pueblo and holds two Masters degrees’ in Community Counseling and Educationally Handicapped and Licensed Professional Counselor.

Barbara believes in the Club’s mission because it spells out quality. Quality programs that are given to children and quality goals for enhancing the Pueblo community. Through excellent programming, the Club supports children in becoming outstanding Pueblo citizens, as well as, citizens of the world. The programs extend out in encouraging confidence, developing self-efficacy, and learning talents for meeting goals and interests.
