Youth of the Month-April 2015

Caleb Worley
Sprague Clubhouse

Boys & Girls Clubs of Pueblo County (BGCPC) announced that Caleb Worley is the Club’s April Youth of the Month. The Youth of the Month honor is earned by one member each month in recognition of their strong leadership, good character, and commitment to service.

Caleb has been a member of Boys & Girls Clubs of Pueblo County for 5 years. As a pre-teen, Caleb used to walk around his neighborhood with nothing to do and was beginning to follow the wrong path by the company he kept. Caleb became a Club member, but only attended once in a great while. In time, he started interacting with his peers at the Club and he was inspired to get involved with BGCPC’s activities and programs. Caleb began to enjoy being a member of the Club because it offered him the opportunities such as: taking college tours, giving back to his community, and participating in team sports. BGCPC Staff have enjoyed watching this young man’s transformation into becoming an outstanding basketball player and leader on and off the court.

He is full of energy and wise beyond his years. Caleb currently is the treasure of BGCPC’s Keystone Club. His peers know Caleb as a true friend with a big heart. When he is not playing sports, he is at the Boys & Girls Club. Caleb does not hesitate to interact with the younger Club members and play games with them. He is an only child and he knows how important it is for him to be a role model for the younger Club members.

Club staff can always rely on Caleb when it comes to community service projects. Caleb previously served as a Teen Leader and he knows the expectations of the Club. He will frequently recruit his peers to get involved with helping out around the Clubhouse. Caleb has come a long way since he started at BGCPC and Club staff looks forward to see what he achieves in the future.

Worley states, "Becoming a member of Boys & Girls Club has opened the door to a life of possibilities.”

As a Youth of the Month honoree, Caleb is eligible to compete in Boys & Girls Clubs of Pueblo County’s 2016 Youth of the Year competition, which provides several scholarships and leadership opportunities. Print Pros is proud to be BGCPC’s April Youth of the Month Sponsor. If you would like to congratulate Caleb, you may do so by emailing club@bgcpueblo.org.
