When Geovanny first started with the Club, as many young members do, he had a hard time adjusting. Gradually he became accustomed to the Club environment and had one of our top attendance rates until he started middle school sports. He is very active with a competitive soccer team through Pueblo Rangers and also played on the varsity basketball team for Vineland Middle School. If there’s an athletic program going on, Geovanny is there. 

Geovanny’s also become a great role model around the Club. He knows the rules, follows them, and expects others to also. He has graduated from Smart Kids (where they learn to be good friends, understand family roles, and be aware of risky behaviors) and is an active member of Torch Club (where they learn leadership and team building skills). During his first 3v3 basketball game, Geovanny made it his mission to help the only girl on the team score and she did! She was very excited but we think he was just as excited! That just goes to show his generous character. Geovanny has been a great addition to our Clubhouse and we can’t wait to see what his future holds for him!

Geovanny stated "I want to play professional football and then give back to the youth leagues because our school football team wasn’t able to give us all the equipment we needed."
