Isaac is the middle child of three, all three of which are current Boys & Girls Club members. In the upcoming school year, Isaac will be transitioning to Middle School, which has often made him nervous but excited in many ways. At home, Isaac is very energetic and loves being outside. His favorite thing to do outside is play football with his brothers and other youth from the neighborhood. On the days that he cannot go outside, his favorite thing to do is play his video games. One game that really interests Isaac is Minecraft and Roblox because of the building component and searching for materials. . 

Over the last year, a licensed therapist from New Leaf Therapy has come in and worked on regulating his emotions, notifying staff when he is starting to get upset and how to use other coping mechanisms. Since then, Isaac has had less behavior issues and has communicated with staff about how he is feeling. In addition to developing his emotional wellbeing, Isaac has also learned about making commitments and sticking to them. For example, Isaac recently earned a mastery badge in our MyFuture program. The reason this is so impressive is because at the start of the program, Isaac was the one member who never wanted to attend or often struggled to complete the activities. 

Isaac stated "The club has made my life better by always having fun activities and during the school year, they helped with homework.”
