Matthew is a shining example of good character and leadership at the Boys & Girls Club. He is eagerly looking forward to third grade as he participates in Outdoor Equity and STEM programs at the Club – both of which feed his dreams of becoming a marine biologist.

Matthew's sweet and respectful demeanor has made him stand out among the members. He actively seeks activities to keep himself engaged and always uses his manners when interacting with the staff. He is diligent in following the rules and respects both staff and fellow club members. His leadership qualities shine through as he tries new things and encourages others to do the same, making new friends and exploring different program areas daily.

In addition to being friendly, Matthew's inclusive nature is evident in his willingness to share his belongings with others. He genuinely cares about everyone feeling included and welcomed at the Club.

For Matthew, the Boys & Girls Club has been a source of kindness and abundance of activities, making his life better. Through his positive contributions and interactions, Matthew continues to make the club a vibrant and welcoming place for all. Matthew has a simple yet impactful plan of planting trees to increase oxygen levels, thereby making the world a better place, as he wisely states, “we need more oxygen.”
