Cheryl Martinez

Senior Program Director

Cheryl’s career with Boys & Girls Clubs of Pueblo County began in 2005. Prior to her current role, she served as the Career Coordinator and Health Outreach Coordinator for the Clubs.

Before joining our Club family, Cheryl worked as a Preschool Lead Teacher and in management for a national retail chain. In addition, she also served as a coach and mentor to many of the Clubs' middle school girls through our "Girls Rock" volleyball team. She is also the founder of the Latina Sorority Sigma Lambda Gamma's Kappa Alpha Chapter at Colorado State University.

Cheryl is a proud graduate of Pueblo Central High School and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Colorado State University – Fort Collins and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Colorado State University Pueblo.

Every time Cheryl hears or sees a Boys & Girls Club National Public Service Announcement, she says the message resonates because she witnesses great things daily at the Clubs. Cheryl truly believes in BGCPC’s mission in helping to transform the lives of under-resourced youth.

From a young age she knew she wanted to have a career in youth development. Working with kids not only inspires Cheryl but pushes her to give her all so she can build a good foundation for Club youth to be successful in their own lives.
