Cesar Chavez Clubhouse Director

Armando Denova Carranza is the clubhouse director at Cesar Chavez Academy. He graduated from Colorado State University-Pueblo in May 2021 with a BA in Spanish and a BS in Criminology.


Being a first-generation American born to immigrant parents, Armando is closely connected to his culture and community. He is fueled by a strong work ethic, integrity, and the belief that everyone is entitled to a fair opportunity to succeed regardless of any social barriers.  

He began his journey at Boys and Girls Club through an internship translating for the organization. He was offered a part time position and transitioned to Physical Fitness Coordinator in that same period staying in that position for over a year. Soon after transferring to the director position at Cesar Chavez where his passion for the Latino community can be better shared.
