Madilynne likes to be involved with online communities. She has always been drawn to computer games that provide her with a sense of community, i.e. Roblox, Discord. Last year she got involved with our Girls Rock volleyball team. We feel this brought her out into the real world. She loved it and started to make friends with kids she always knew but never talked to. She did try out for the middle school team but didn’t make it. There was tough competition but that hasn’t deterred her. She is looking forward to Girls Rock again in the Spring. Her and some of the girls have even started practicing on their own during open gym time and make plans to come on Tuesday’s for their volleyball day in the gym. 

Madilynne is a very kind hearted person. She doesn’t like to see others hurt and feels really bad if she inadvertently hurts someone else. She will, however, stand up for herself and her friends fiercely. When she feels she is in the right, she will stand her ground. 

Madilynne stated "The Club helps me and my family. I’m here because my mom is at work and the Club is accepting and a welcoming environment for me to feel comfortable. Boys & Girls Club has taught me new things and I’m so grateful because I am the person I am today because of the Club."
