2025 Pueblo County Kid of the Year

The Kid of the Year award is one of highest honors a Boys & Girls Club member can receive. The title recognizes outstanding contributions to a young member’s family, school, community and Boys & Girls Club, as well as personal challenges and obstacles overcome.

Zoey C.
Cesar Chavez Academy Clubhouse

"If you are ever lucky enough to visit the CCA Clubhouse, Zoey is one of the first members you are likely to meet. She has a huge personality, is super positive, bubbly, energetic, and most importantly, kind. She is a huge advocate for her Club and a natural leader who often orients new members, explaining the rules and expectations of the Club. She is in her second year as President of the CCA Torch Club and she is an active member of CCA’s student council. Some would be surprised to hear that she is only an elementary student, however she is well on her way to becoming a well-rounded leader in her community. Zoey maintains a 4.0 GPA and is a recipient of the Principal's Honor Roll Award. She played spring soccer for both Boys & Girls Clubs and the Pueblo Rangers for the past three years. When there are opportunities to speak to a crowd, Zoey is the first to volunteer and she enjoys sharing words of positivity. At last year’s annual Clubhouse Thanksgiving dinner, Zoey shared a beautiful speech for all the families that attended. She is consistently helping staff and others. She is nothing short of exemplary and the epitome of everything the Clubs represent."
