The Clubhouse has helped change the nominee’s attitude by providing Piper with the tools to open up and feel comfortable here at the club. For example, Piper was always scared to speak up and share her thoughts but now she's asking for homework help, participating in STEM mentoring and even asking for her art projects to be displayed.  

Piper demonstrates good leadership and good character by modeling the way. Piper goes into a program space with a positive attitude, no matter the activity, ready to learn and have fun. For example, during our STEM Mentoring program on Monday’s, Piper went to her seat, sat down and waited for instructions before touching/grabbing any material. She always participates and when done she cleans up not only after herself but others as well. When Piper has homework, she has made a commitment to joining Power Hour and getting her work done before having fun. 

Piper stated “I plan to make the world a place by helping keep it clean. I want to help around the community and pick up trash.”
