Iskra is a very social little girl, and her contagious smile brightens everyone’s day. The members love teaching her new English words, and she enthusiastically tries to teach us Serbian in return! Iskra has a strong love for reading, and Ms. Jill shows such patience with her—every morning, Iskra will happily sit and read at least three books. Although her parents don’t work on Fridays, Iskra still chooses to come to Club. Her dad recently mentioned that they have a new pool at home, but Iskra would rather be here with us!

Iskra is our kindness monitor, always quick to remind members to be kind and respectful. Whether it's due to the language barrier or simply her nature, she approaches people and new experiences with genuine enthusiasm, open-mindedness, and sincerity. Her love of learning is a joy to witness, and she patiently teaches others how to pronounce Serbian words. Iskra is the kind of child who looks at a blank sheet of paper and envisions all the possibilities it holds—then makes a plan to bring them to life. She encourages everyone to follow the Club rules, especially “Be kind to others,” even when speaking to members older than herself. A natural leader, Iskra leads by example and is always eager to include others in whatever she’s doing.
