Mauricio Paez

Sprague Clubhouse Director

Mauricio started with the movement in 2015, as a program aide in The Boys & Girls Club of the San Luis Valley. In 2016, Mauricio started his career with the Boys and Girls Club of Pueblo County and has been with the Club ever since. Over the past ten years, Mauricio has had the privilege to hold the positions of the Director of our former Friday Only Site, program substitute, Van and Fleet Manager, Part time and Full time Program Coordinator, and currently serves as the Sprague Clubhouse Director.

In 2014, Mauricio graduated from Center High School located in the rural community of Center, CO. After high school, he attended Trinidad State Junior College and Pueblo Community College where he graduated with an Associate of Arts Degree with a psychology designation. Mauricio was the first person in his immediate family to graduate from college, which made the moment mean so much more. 

Through numerous mentors here at Boys & Girls Clubs of Pueblo County, he says that he has gained an abundance of knowledge and has so much gratitude to the team. What started as a job has grown into a career that he feels he owes to the Club members who make each day special in its own unique way.
