Bill Thomas

"While looking for a new home in anticipation of moving away from the hustle and bustle of New York City’s metropolitan area, Bill and Cindy Thomas fell in love with the friendly people and inviting ambiance we found within the greater Pueblo community.

His telecommunications career involved living and working out of offices in England, The Netherlands, Germany, Saudi Arabia, and traveling to 75+ other countries - Bill’s work included stints as a switching systems technician, a projects manager, supervisor of technical personnel, engineering business systems and private corporate networks, manager of network operations and analysis departments, director of systems engineering, managing consultant, and international engineering programs director. He also briefly worked as a fast-food, family and casual dining restaurant manager for Ponderosa Steakhouse, Ella’s Deli, York Steakhouse and Church’s Fried Chicken.

Bill was a VISTA volunteer for one year teaching at a private high school, and also performing as a community activist and organizer in Wisconsin and on the south side of Chicago, Illinois. He has been a Big Brother volunteer, a Junior Achievement classroom volunteer, Secretary of PAACO, Co-Chair of Sustainable Pueblo, a Board member of the Pueblo Technology Alliance (PTA), Co-Chair of the PTA-Smart Energy Summit, a graduate of Leadership-Pueblo (Class of 2004), Chair of the Black Leadership Forum and a Bible teacher at a NJ-based pastor preparatory school.

Bill ardently believes in the vital purpose and animating mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Pueblo County - the lives, ideals and opportunities for the youth of our community will discover successful fulfillment through the proficient program performances, superior supportive services and dedicated adults of the BGCPC and its portfolio of developmental resources."
