Desean came to us from the Sprague Clubhouse but has fit in well at Avondale, it's like he was meant to be their. He comes on a daily basis and is an active participant. As soon as he walks in he automatically involves himself in any program being ran. The Club has given Desean a sense of belonging in a new community. During his time here at Club he has demonstrated growth by coming out from his comfort zone and be an extrovert, this has helped him feel like he belongs in a new community. His smile lights up the place

from the moment he walks in!

This year Desean participated in Girls Rock Volleyball. Through the five games and practices at the Club he has demonstrated to be respectful, committed, helpful, and adapted to changes in his life.

Knowing that he was going to be the only boy on his team he had the courage to push himself and make it the best he could, never giving up.
