Charlie walked into the Boys & Girls Club with a language barrier, which made him very shy and reserved. As time went on, he learned English very fast and is now bilingual! He is very enthusiastic and is always very excited to come to the Boys & Girls Club. Charlie has opened himself up to trying everything at the Club at least once and always does it with passion and a smile. Mom has expressed that the Boys & Girls Club is his favorite part of his days.

As soon as Charlie walks in the door, he is always asked what needs to be done or how he can help in any way. He always has a positive attitude when coming to the Club. Charlie has shown he is a team player, not only in the gym, but also in other program areas. If someone is feeling down, he always tries his best to cheer them up. You can immediately tell when Charlie walks in the room because it lights up everyone’s faces.
