Kid of the Month
Being a Club member has helped her establish meaningful relationships with friends not only from her school but kids from other schools as well. She credits the Club and staff for helping her to understand and cope with issues that she previously had difficulty sharing even with her family.

Rachel is, no doubt, a future leader. She is a good friend and is always willing to lend a hand or help staff clean or set up a project. Every day she takes the initiative after dinner to help coordinate the cleanup of the cafeteria with fellow members of the Club. Rachel goes above and beyond in other areas as well. She is often found participating in Emotional Wellness programs and is an active member of our Girl Scout troop. She attended the overnight camping trip in May, where she learned archery and fire starting as well as going out of her comfort zone to participate in a low ropes course and trying new things and making new friends.

When asked how Rachel would make the world a better place she stated “I want to be a chef when I get older. I want to use my skills not only in a big-time restaurant, but to help the homeless and hungry people, as well.”
